My writing process bears similarities to making bread. I mix all the elements together, then let the writing rest for a few hours, maybe even a day or more. I return and knead it some. If it’s ready to “bake,” I get it ready for publication. If it isn’t, I give it more time to rest. I return again, but this time, I pound it into submission. Sometimes, it’s the only way to get the writing to do what it’s supposed to do.
Blogging without a Purpose
I rarely, if ever, post anything about marketing on Write Right. I may provide marketing strategy and content creation services to clients—and I have fun with both—but I don’t often write about the first on this site. I occasionally write about the second, insofar as it relates to the writing life in general. I usually avoid both.
How to Keep Your New Year’s Resolutions
I don’t make resolutions; however, I do make plans. A lot of them. I also accomplish them. I’m naturally gifted that way.
Big Leap Creative
I provide content creation and editing services to Big Leap Creative. Big Leap is an integrated communications firm. We get along great because we both aim to take our work seriously but never ourselves. We work hard to play hard.
Pristine
Pristine is an Austin-based company that provides secure, on-demand video solutions to customers. Techy? You bet. It’s fun. I author content (white papers, SlideShares, et cetera) designed to generate leads and close sales.
Clearlink
I work with Clearlink to provide content for a variety of verticals ranging from smart home technologies to small business advice. It’s great fun to explore different topics and to write in different tones and voices.
