Cision is a global PR firm providing PR software, marketing, and media relations software and services. I work with them to provide content for customers: white papers, tip sheets, blog posts, et cetera. It’s great fun. I’m always learning some new tidbit and coming up with fun ways to talk about subjects like copyright compliance and influencer marketing.
Portfolio
Brivo
Brivo is a cloud-based access control provider. I provided the brand with strategy and content, usually blog posts, white papers, and articles for LinkedIn Pulse. It’s a fun brand, and I’m not being facetious. They get into the Internet of Things (IoT), wearables, mobile devices, apps, and software as a service (SaaS). Let’s just say I was never at a loss for something new to explore.
Give Local America
Give Local America is a giving movement (and day) initiated by Kimbia, an online giving platform. I worked with the organization as a brand journalist and interviewed nonprofits that participated in the annual giving day. I also sidelined as a brand strategist, offering feedback on plans developed by Geoff Livingston. It was fun work. I enjoyed “traveling” around the U.S. and hearing about the remarkable work that nonprofits were doing in their community to make a difference.
SocialRadar
SocialRadar, now known as LocationKit, takes the nervousness out of networking. Its networking app lets you find people in your vicinity and pull their public information so that you can start a conversation without fumbling over the words. I worked with Geoff Livingston to create an eBook about the power of networking and how it’s changed in the digital age.
Gabriel Marketing
Gabriel Group is a marketing agency serving a variety of clients. I worked with them to provide day-to-day social media/community management for clients in the social intranet and project management spaces. At last glance, I more than doubled their follower counts and engagement metrics. You can buy followers all day long, but the ones earned through organic reach are always more valuable. Victory!
Gravy
Gravy is a mobile app that provides end users with curated events and experiences based on location, time, and mood. I worked on articles for the brand’s two audiences, people who would use the app and brands that would use it to promote an upcoming event.
