In May, I head to Vermont for Creative Missions. It will be a week filled with teaching and helping churches with their communication efforts. It’s going to be incredible.
I know that without question because Creative Missions has been in my prayers and on my mind and heart since I applied in December. Oh, how I wanted to get in. Oh, how I wanted to use my gifts and talents for kingdom work. Oh, how I wanted Write Right to play a role in the bigger picture.
And it is. I am. God’s giving me a chance to follow him to an even more unknown place, and I can’t wait. I can’t believe he’s giving me this opportunity. God is amazing.
What I’ll Be Doing
I’ll join one of five teams, with six people on each team plus a team leader. We’ll be serving 15 churches in Vermont and one in New York.
The focus on Vermont has to do with the need of churches there, as well as the sense that they’re experiencing an awakening. More people are coming to church in search of the gospel. The focus also builds upon past work. The Creative Missions leadership team has been on two trips to Vermont to cast the vision, assess specific needs, and build trust with the churches we’ll be serving.
How You Can Help
Creative Missions is a mission trip, although it could be said to be a bootstrapped one. Costs are minimal ($495, plus airfare), but I could use your help in covering the costs. It would be a blessing to me.
Anything put toward the $495 will cover the following:
- Lodging and workspace.
- Transportation—to and from the airport, parking fees, fuel, rental cars.
- Breakfasts (no elevensies), dinners, snacks.
- Production costs for the churches we’re serving—printing materials, resources, et cetera.
All donations are tax deductible, and anything above and beyond my goal will be put toward next year’s trip. Consider it an investment in the future: both in the here and now and in the already but not yet.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out via social—you can usually catch me on Twitter—or email at erin@writerightwords.com.
I love you all. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:17, NASB)
