I tend toward worry and fighting. If I get stuck, I battle my way out. When worry arises, I create to-do lists and action plans. Sometimes, though, I find myself in a corner that I can’t get out of. No strategy and no amount of scrapping will grant escape. I’m trapped.
Work gets a bad rap, understandably so. Not all work is fun. It takes effort and time. It challenges and frustrates. The work — or the absence of it — produces stress and anxiety.

I’ve learned through freelancing and working at a boutique marketing agency that it’s important to hedge my bets. The pipeline needs to be kept full. The backup plan should always be in motion. I shouldn’t be so reliant on one contract that losing it will kill the business.
Every once in a while—okay, maybe most of the time—I’m thrust into situations where I don’t know what to do. What is the right course of action? What honors God most?
