I’ve been doing some behind-the-scenes work in order to create the e-book and to teach a monthly business writing class at Faulk Central Library. The first class will concern resumes and cover letters.

Will you ever do a class on writing a synopsis for novels. I hate doing that more than anything and I’m especially bad at it. I suspect my poor results are directly correlated to my dislike for writing them and maybe if I just “GOT OVER IT”, I’d be fine, but if there were some techniques to improve, I’d like to learn them.

ExtremelyAvg I don’t know that I’d ever teach a class, but I can look into the topic. I don’t usually have to write a synopsis since I don’t write fiction (I’m a poet.). Now that I think of it, you might want to talk with Scott Morgan at Write_Hook . Scott works with fiction writers. In any case, I’ll do some digging, too.

Too bad it’s not an e-book with the principles…but perhaps you could do an e-book of the summary of some of the points after your time teaching at that location is finished.

DustBunnyMafia Do you mean an e-book from each class? Each class covers a different topic.
I’ll have to think about how to do that. I do need more teaching materials. 🙂

Great! I hope it goes well. Writing for business is extremely tough. It is difficult to be factual, succinct and clear at the best of times. Let us know how it goes. Good luck on the first one.

rdopping Thanks, Ralph! It was an interesting experience. I wish I could say all fifteen seats were filled, but they were not. That was disappointing, but oh well.
I may explore the idea DustBunnyMafia mentioned and think about creating e-books based on each of the classes. If not an e-book, at least some blog posts. Then again, why not both?
